Richard Escobedo's "career" spans from starting middle linebacker, to NJHS president, to partime school webmaster. Richard is thirteen, and has had a very successful childhood as an entrepreneur.
In late 2006, Richard began a small startup web design company dubbed FIN WebDesign, and it has since grown. In early 2007, Richard re-named his company Wishful Web Consulting, however this name would soon be changed yet again to Richard Escobedo Networks, for not only had Richard started, maintained, and continued to grow his business; he had created a media "empire" of sorts.
Technically you can say that it did not start with FIN WebDesign, rather Ask Richard Escobedo. Richard one day had an idea to start an online community to help people with their technology issues. That was the day Ask Richard Escobedo was born. What spawned this idea was a video from Chris Pirillo, explaining virtual desktops. As soon as Richard got the idea, he grabbed his digital camera, laptop, and began trying to "dumb down" an already dumbed down version of what virtual desktops were. Little did he know that in less than one month, his video on virtual desktops would climb to number 6 on YouTube, when the search query is "Virtual Desktops"
After such success on YouTube, Richard began to branch out to Blip.TV, and began shooting even more videos to help people with their technology problems. From Safari for Windows, to how to use your iPod as a Jump-Drive Richard continued to succeed.
After such success with Ask Richard Escobedo, he began to branch out into the world of podcasting. Richard and his friend Jarred decided to start the "Sports Guys Podcast," while this podcast is not as popular as his Tech Blog, nor his own personal website / blog, he knows that only time will tell where this podcast will go.
By this time, Richard realized that with all of these different "corporations" of sorts he needs a central location for all of them, one name, one place. At this time, Richard threw around the idea of Wishful Media, Inc; however this just didn't have much of a ring to it, and he didn't like it. After much thought, and some hard decisions Richard decided to name this "central hub" Richard Escobedo Networks.
Richard Escobedo Networks currently has three subsidiaries, Richard Escobedo Web Design, The Sports Guys Podcast, and the Ask Richard Tech Blog, and is continuing to grow each and every day.
